Haha, I like that interview. It really makes a difference to all these boring and allways the same interviews one usally gets served. Funny that he couldn´t answer the question what he would do if he were a women for a day. That question really caught him off guard ;-)
Great Interview
Very fitting I thought ;)
It's strange, half of the time I think he's really down to earth and act like a family man and the rest of the time I find him a bit arrogant.
But I must give him that this interviewer was really weird...
This interviewer was really weird...I think Matthew noticed that as well :D
LOL, it's okay Foxy, you could've said it because I think most men would've been thinking the same thing.
He sounds like a man that has his priorities straight. Hopefully that will never change for him.
What an odd, uncomfortable interview. I much prefer the banter and staged questions of the mainstream talk shows. And the production values left a bit to be desired, too.
I think it was a nice interview and I agree with katieb, he could have said that, come on, all men would ask the same thing :D *giggles*
As for his children's birth, I couldn't agree more, this is for sure the most important moment in someone's life, there are no bigger events than that. And like him, my husband and I would like to go back in time to live it again. But I guess all parents in the world feel the way we did on that day, it is very diffucult to explain in words! Someone has to live that moment to understand!
Anyway, back in topic: this man is dangerous! chocolate and foxy, I guess I've had enough!
how could anyone not love him! i find him genuine in all his interviews - what other people see as arrogant i see as real, oh and you can see when he shakes hands with the interviewer he means it. love that he is compulsive yet scattered like me.
Well yes, the interview was weird somehow. But still i liked it very much. It showed an unprepared Foxy and thats something fresh!
The strange interviewer is german and usually known for his comedian qualities. I see him as a queer jack lemon somehow.
For the production qualities - it really looked like a backyard production. And I doubt that the inteviewer (forgot his name) is really into Lost. Here in germany its a normal kind of thing to do if you´re lecking a plot for the interview: playing the whole thing as a spontanic headline-answer-game. It´s not so much about the answers, but about the reaction. And this one wasn´t so bad.
Well, that was kind of flat and awkward at times.
Matthew is so cute, sweet, nice and adorable.SO FOXY!!!
I am totaly in love with this guy!!!
I like the interview ,it was funny and kind of clever ....
Every time he speeks about his kids he is so..... full of love. His wife is a very lucky woman.
His wife is a very lucky woman
oh yes, I've always thought so...she's a very, very lucky woman, for many, many reasons :)
great interview! i liked how this interview was different than the others...
some of the questions were hilarious and foxy's reactions to the questions were so cute!
he was adorable!
i love him :)
I'm really curious what his next project is going to be.
I mean you may like or not like Speed Racer but as an actor you just don't turn down the chance to work with the Wachowski brothers.
I know from a friend who worked at Paramount that in 2005/2006 he was on the top list to play Sam Fisher in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell together with Mark Wahlberg. But since this project is freezed...And now last Friday I heard that Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (Lives of Others) could imagine him in his next project.
But this all dependes on the shooting schedule for the next LOST seasons
This is by far the most entertaining interview I've seen of Matthew Fox lol.
I especially love the first 15 seconds.
Hi, this is the interviewer, Thanks for the mostly kind comments. For those who thought the interview was weird, let me bring some light into this. These so-called interview-"junkets" never give you enough time to really "talk" - they (the pr people) tell you shortly before the interview, how many minutes (average: five to six, Robert de Niro only 1:45, I'm not kidding) each interviewer gets and they warn you not to ask anything but questions about the movie. For this particular interview they gave me exactly 5 minutes and 30 seconds counting down the moment I enter the interview room. What made this interview admittedly look so different to most of my other interviews, was the fact that I was sick that morning and Matt was hun g-over because he partied till 8am, the lucky bastard!! Okay, so then you sit down and as an interviewer you start thinking, how soon can I start asking questions about something other than the movie he is promoting??? In this case my spiking fever made me talk about other stuff right away which caused the pr person in the room to make hysterical signs with her hands and eyes... however, Matt was really nice and we actually went overtime a bit, which I'm sure caused the pr person an almost heart attack because she had to reschedule the day after ONE interview. So, what I'm trying to say is this: I know that little chat looks a bit weird and is probably not my best interview, but considering that I felt and looked like shit and Matt was very tired, it came out okay. If you check the interview I did with Dennis Quaid half an hour later, you will see that was even "weirder" because I was gettng sicker by the minute. So, I hope I could explain the "weirdness" a little and if you want, you can watch other interviews I've done on youtube or myvideodotde. And for the remark that I don't care for LOST - wrong!! I am a BIG Lost fan and I am thrilled season four has me on the edge of my couch again!
Cheers from Berlin, Torgen
@torgen
I think you're cool! Honestly, I really appreciate that you come here and post and explain (there's no need to) but as I said above I thought the interview was very nice.
Matt was hungover because he partied till 8am, the lucky bastard!!
I so want to have more details...!! He's just perfect. I knew it!
A family man who can have a good time every now and then! Basically my ideal man.
But I married such a man way before I started having the hots for Mr. Fox so I'm a happy and lucky woman :))
