O'Connell, de Ravin Headline New Nora Roberts Adaptations

Lifetime has lined up some serious talent (and eye candy) for the first two (of four!) new TV-movie adaptations of Nora Roberts novels.

Emilie de Ravin (Lost), Ivan Sergei (Jack & Jill) and Cybill Shepherd will star in High Noon, while Jerry O'Connell (Do Not Disturb Crossing Jordan), Lauren Stamile (Rose from Grey's Anatomy) and Faye Dunaway lead the cast of Midnight Bayou, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The four Roberts made for TV movies, which also include Tribute and Northern Lights, are produced by Mandalay TV and Stephanie Germain Prods., who previously produced four other highly-rated Roberts movies for Lifetime in 2007.

High Noon is about a hostage negotiator, Lt. Phoebe McNamara (de Ravin), who juggles her career with the raising of her young daughter and dealing with her agoraphobic mother (Shepherd). Phoebe becomes the object of affection of a bar owner (Sergei) and the target of a psychopathic killer – which is all in a day's work over at Lifetime.

Midnight Bayou's centered around lawyer Declan Fitzpatrick (O'Connell) who impulsively gives up his settled life to buy a restored and most likely haunted plantation house near New Orleans. That's right, he'll be seeing dead people hanging out in his new pad. Luckily, he gets some help ghost whispering and uncovering dark secrets from a Cajun local (Stamile) and her grandmother (Dunaway).

High Noon was written by Terri Kopp and will be directed by Peter Markle, while Midnight Bayou penned by Stephen Tolkin and will be directed by Ralph Hemecker.
