That phrase, on the last panel of the first page, pretty much sums up the entirety of writer Brian K. Vaughan’s now completed series, “Y: The Last Man” published on DC’s Vertigo imprint.
Vaughan and artists Pia Guerra and José Marzán Jr. won an Eisner award in 2008 for best Series for “Y: the Last Man,” and Vaughan, one of the head writers of the ABC TV series “Lost,” also won an Eisner Award for Best Writer in 2005 for his work on this and other series.
