LOST Media Mentions - DarkUFO

Thanks to GregDean for the heads up.

Steve Zahn is in negotiations and Kim Dickens is set to co-star on "Treme," David Simon's pilot for HBO.

"Treme," which takes its title from an area in New Orleans, is a post-Katrina-themed drama that chronicles the rebuilding of the city through the eyes of local musicians.

Zahn would play a whip-smart street dancer, local radio DJ, band member and proud New Orleans native with anger issues. The role would showcase Zahn's musical talents as a singer-guitarist.

Dickens would play a hardworking chef who opened her own restaurant and has an on-again/off-again relationship with Zahn's character.

Zahn and Dickens join previously cast Clarke Peters, Wendell Pierce and Khandi Alexander.

"Treme" marks the first major series commitment for Zahn, who has been heavily pursued by the networks for several years.

Zahn, who recently made a rare guest appearance on "Monk," next will be seen in the thriller "A Perfect Getaway." He is repped by Endeavor and Principal Entertainment.

Gersh-repped Dickens has strong ties with HBO, where she co-starred on the series "Deadwood" as well as "12 Miles of Bad Road" and "1%." She recently recurred on "Friday Night Lights."

Simon created "Treme" with Eric Overmyer.
