Hey All,
Here is another LOST Reference. This time it is in the video game World of Warcraft.
Check out the Swan Hatch Door, with the number 5,9,16,17,24,43. Yes I know they are off by one, but clear reference to the numbers on the door.
Has anyone actually seen this while playing WoW??
Thanks to Night Phoenix for the heads up.

Damn, that's too cool.
Hatch in the ground with an illuminated window - A Lost reference without a doubt.
I've always resisted playing World of Warcraft because I have genuine fears it could take over my life. It features in my favourite South Park episode though :)
Haha, sweet! It's a referense to Lost, no question about it. In which zone is this located? Cords?
It's almost cooler that they have added 1 to every number. It's like, it was meant to be seen by us who now the numbers so well after gone really into analysing them. If it were 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 everyone would know it was a Lost referance.
TLA: I agree and it is the same reason I have not given in to the temptation...!!
Andreas: Bittertide Lake? Adding a new screencap
My mate told me about this on Friday.
Nice touch
WOW steals peoples lives lol, i avoid it at all costs
It's in the zone Sholazar Basin, around 39,74. After finding this, I searched the rest of the zone for any more references, but alas, apart from an area called "The Lost Lands" there was nothing remotely close.
I've got some more pictures, although I guess that none of you will be able to read the article^^
On the last image, you can even see the real numbers

While I don't play WoW, it seems clear to me that the game makers are fans of Lost. And while it's not very clear from the screencap on the main blog entry, in DerAndre's page it's obvious that there is sand and palm trees all around. Very Island-like for a lake, methinks.
Side note: Advancing one for each of the Numbers is how we wound up with the intelligent computer HAL in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Go back a letter from each and you get IBM.
;)

Although, i submitted this to Dark, I cannot take full credit for the find. This was actually pointed out to me by my girlfriend. She subscribes to the RSS feed from slashgamer.com, and it showed up there.
Another screen shot on Lostpedia (http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Image:Wow_hatch.jpg) shows that the hatch has the actual numbers, too. Any idea why it's different on the two screen shots?
The image with the "correct" numbers was from the Beta test, but it was changed before it actually went live.
Just a FYI for LOST fans... Sholazar Basin is one of the 8 new zones in the recently released "Wrath of the Lich King" expansion, and actually shares a couple of themes with LOST: http://www.wowwiki.com/Sholazar_Basin
For starters, it's a tropical jungle on the continent of Northrend, which is a continent best known for Arctic/Northern themes. So, it's a twist on the LOST island, where you have Polar bears in the South Pacific. The reason for this weird weather is that Sholazar Basin is the site of long ago experimentation by a race called the Titans, similar in a way to DHARMA. So, that's how it makes a sort of sense that there would be a "hatch" in the middle of Sholazar Basin like that; the non-LOSTie WoW player would figure it's a remnant of the Titans.
@ T.L.A:
That's one of my favorite episodes too :p
Yeah, it's in Sholazar Basin, in Northrend (part of the WOTLK expansion). Pretty cool.
