LOST Media Mentions - DarkUFO

Another big donation from a T.V star is on the way. Daniel Dae Kim, the actor from "Lost" is donating 500 toys to Toys for Tots.

In the last 12 years, the program run by the Marines has collected nearly 600,000 gifts for needy kids.

On Monday, Kim and some helpers played the roles of Santa and his elves, swarming Kahala Mall and collecting piles of presents.

"I thought it was a great opportunity for my wife and I to teach our kids the true meaning of the holidays. Especially with the harder economic times thought it would be nice to put some smiles on the faces of local kids," Daniel Dae Kim said.

"We are currently about 1,600 toys short of the need in four specific age groups. Eight to 10 boys and girls 11 and over boys and girls," said Chuck Little, of the Marines.

You can still drop off toys at the warehouse at Dole Cannery. It's open from eight in the morning to eight at night on Tuesday. Also, eight to noon on Christmas Eve.
