The per-episode budget of 'Lost' is $4 million (USD) ('Entertainment Weekly' has previously reported that the average hour-long drama costs $3 million). Alan Frutkin of Mediaweek interviewed Stephen McPherson a few days ago and among other things, he discussed the fandom of 'Lost', the difficulty in launching a show as a lead-out of 'Lost' and the future of broadcasting for network television, in which he mentioned "...four million dollar episodes of 'Lost'...".
